Movie Mistakes

I really liked this website. There is a massive selection of articles about movies. I didn't really read exactly one so a summary wouldn't be too effective, but the website had a lot of cool thinks that wasn't only mistakes but information or like quotes. The ones that I liked reading were the ones about Saw because I really liked those movies and yet aparently there is a lot of errors in the movie and I thought that it was pretty interesting.

A Girl’s Nude Photo, and Altered Lives

This article today was about a girl who took a nudey pic of herself and sent it to her boyfriend. The couple broke up a short while after and then from there the photo got spread around her school. I think that this is a good story because it will help a lot of teenagers know that this isn't the smartest thing to do. The girl and the guy both did a stupid thing and I think they deserve all the punishment that they get.

Pilates at Work Video

I didn't really notice any eye-popping camera work or anything like that. To me it just seemed like any other story that would run on TV. Although I did find the story to be unique and interesting. There wasn't anything wrong or distracting with the camera work but I just wasn't interested.

Goose Man and Demo Video

There were two stories that we had to look into one was a demo video which just showed a bunch of random stories about a bunch of things like a fisherman, michigan state, etc. The stories were done well. The other story was of a man becoming good friends with a goose. The goose would always wait for the man at the park and when the man gets there him and the goose just walk around. The goose for some reason thinks that the man is his mate so I guess he follows him around. I really liked this story because it was unique.

RANDOM VAULTERS VAULTING
A-ROLL

Eastview track has some amazing athletes, we have some of the best runners, throwers, and jumpers in the state. But one group never really gets too much credit and thats the pole-vaulters. But this year is looking good for those sprinter rejects all because of one man. Chris Ratsamy. He has been a 4 year varsity vaulter, hes now known as Captain Ratsamy

I wouldn't even call him a captain; I would say he's a coach in a way. He wants everyone to go as a hard as they can all the time.

One great thing about Ratsamy is that no matter who you are, he wants you to reach your full vaulting potential

He takes charge when we screw around, puts us back on track, very patient and teaches a lot of the younger guys.

Although Captain Ratsamy is praised by his fellow vaulters he still manages to stay level headed
I think it's funny because I'm technically not a captain, but at the same time I'm honored that I've won the respect of all of my fellow vaulters. I've been doing this 4 years now and it feels great having those younger guys looking up to me.

Eastview vaulting has always been known to have a great program. With all returning Varsity vaulters and the lovable Chris Ratsamy its looking like Eastview should be exceeding high standards this year.
For the 4CAST, this is Max.

Jim Tressel Gets Suspended 2 Games, Fined

Ohio State's football coach Jim Tressel has been fined 2 games by the university for knowing that his players were selling merchandise. This is a violation of NCAA rules. He was fined $250,000 for failing to notify the school about a couple players getting in trouble. I personally don't think that this is a big problem for OSU because they always end up going to a BCS bowl game and if they don't I could care less. So I really hope that this does screw with their program and hopefully they'll start losing so that the Gophers will finally get a Big 10(or whatever it'll be named) title.

Official Interview

Tom Garding

What are your feelings towards vault captain, Chris Ratsamy?
I think that he is a genuine guy, he leads the team in a good positive way. He's a good leader and good looking.

How has Captain Ratsamy affected your vaulting?
Well I started off as a mere 4 foot jumper at the time he helped teach me the right teqniques to get a higher height.

What Makes him such a good captain?
He takes charge when we screw around, puts us back on track, very patient and teaches a lot of the younger guys.

Matt Montegomery

How has Captain Ratsamy affected your vaulting?
He is a very good leader and such a big help with the otehr athletes and also training them

How has Captain Ratsamy affected your vaulting?
He pushes me in practice so that I become a better vaulter and he really helps with my technique

What Makes him such a good captain?
I wouldn't even call him a captain, I would say he's a coach in a way. He wants everyone to go as a hard as they can all the time

Chris Ratsamy

How do you feel that the guys are calling you "captain"
(chuckles) I think it's funny because I'm technically not a captain. but at the same time I'm honored that I've won the respect of all of my fellow vaulters. I've been doing this 4 years now and it feels great having those younger guys lookng up to me.

After having a Junior year that was a little rough, how do you expect to bounce back?
It was rough last year, I pulled my hamstring and was out for weeks. I personally feel like my leg never got back to 100% but after a long off-season it feels great, and I am hoping for some big things this spring.

What are you going to miss the most when this is all done?
(yet to be answered)

Active Voice Quiz

I got a 9/10 on the quiz. I got #7 wrong, the rest of the quiz was fairly easy. I didn't understand the whole hair cutting thing.

Changing Passive to Active Voice Notes

- To change into Active voice find the "by the" Phrase
- To check if you can change there should be at least two ways to write the sentence
- In order to change the voice make sure you know who or what is expressing the verb

Interview #1

Matt Montegomery

1.What have you been doing over the off-season to prepare for Vaulting?
I've been playing hockey in the winter, and I did some summer vaulting

2.After the success as Freshman, how do you expect to follow up?
I don't really know what to expect after that wonderful season, I've gotten stronger and faster so I'm thinking that I will go great things.

3. What's your goal this year for vaulting?
I would really like to get first in a meet, whether it's JV or Varsity. I came so close in a couple last year and I'm hoping I can do even better.

Wes Leonard Taught Us All

I just read another article on the basketball standout Wes Leonard from Fennville High School. From my post earlier it was about how he made the game winning shot and eventually died on the court. Well in this one it talks about the communities struggle with coping with his loss and also his teammates. Leonard died just four days before their opening playoff game. Later a doctor released that the official cause of death was a cardiac arrest. I think this is a really good story of a basketball team and a community working together and still finding a way to celebrate after such a tragedy.

Snooki puncher joins the Army, says report

Brad Ferro, the guy that punched MTV reality star "Snooki" has joined the Army. He got his career ruined from this. Before he was a gym teacher and after that he decided to join the Army. I kind of feel bad for this guy because I think that a lot of people in this world would punch Snooki in the face given the oppurtunity.

High School Basketball Star Dies on Court

This was a story of 16 year old basketball player Wes Leonard and how he made the game winning basket on Thursday night. After he made the shot his teammates carried him on their shoulders and the fans were going crazy. Shortly after the team put him down, Leonard collapsed on the court and later died. The cause of his death is unknown. I think that this is very unfortunate and sad. But it is a good way to go out feeling the happiest you've been in your life. From Max's Blog, this is Max.

5 things I learned from "The Interview"

1. Make sure that your questions are open-ended, that'll force them to give you more information.

2. Never apologize for a question you ask.

3. A good interviewer knows what they want to know going into the interview.

4. Ask your questions based on what your audience wants to know.

5. It's a great thing to sit back and listen.

BYU Dismisses Player From Basketball Team for Having Premarital Sex

On Fox I just read an article about the BYU sophmore Brandon Davis. Brandon got dismissed from the team due to him having pre-marital sex with his girlfriend. The school found out because he confessed to the school. #3 ranked BYU got killed by New Mexico in their first game without Davis. He was a great player but I believe that the school did the right thing in honoring their honor code.

Eastview Downs Apple Valley Despite Jones' Career High

This article was about the Easstview/Apple Valley game that occured quite some time ago. I jjust read it because I was at the game and I thought it was a great game. The article talks about top recruit Tyus Jones playing a great game but Eastviews three headed monster(Veldman, King, and Oberfeld) were just too much to handle. Eastview is now tied first in the SCC.
