A-ROLL

Eastview track has some amazing athletes, we have some of the best runners, throwers, and jumpers in the state. But one group never really gets too much credit and thats the pole-vaulters. But this year is looking good for those sprinter rejects all because of one man. Chris Ratsamy. He has been a 4 year varsity vaulter, hes now known as Captain Ratsamy

I wouldn't even call him a captain; I would say he's a coach in a way. He wants everyone to go as a hard as they can all the time.

One great thing about Ratsamy is that no matter who you are, he wants you to reach your full vaulting potential

He takes charge when we screw around, puts us back on track, very patient and teaches a lot of the younger guys.

Although Captain Ratsamy is praised by his fellow vaulters he still manages to stay level headed
I think it's funny because I'm technically not a captain, but at the same time I'm honored that I've won the respect of all of my fellow vaulters. I've been doing this 4 years now and it feels great having those younger guys looking up to me.

Eastview vaulting has always been known to have a great program. With all returning Varsity vaulters and the lovable Chris Ratsamy its looking like Eastview should be exceeding high standards this year.
For the 4CAST, this is Max.
